CULTURAL CRUMBS – 8th October.
The Yard, Reigate Station, hosts the quite brilliant Acousticatz this Friday 11th October with support from Mark Milward. As ever £6 and BYOB. This superb venue and community space is well deserving of support from RH locals. It hosts a varied programme of events.
RH music lovers know that if they fancy checking out live music then The Cage, Reigate is the place to go. Not one but two Brighton performers are travelling up the A23 to perform this weekend. Friday 11 is the turn of Sweet Facility (Blues Rock) and Matt Mitchell plays his acoustic set this Saturday 12.
Gilbert O’Sullivan returns to the Harlequin on Thursday 10th October. Doors 7pm, tickets £29.50. He will present new material as well as classics such as Claire. See website for details
Ballet Theatre UK present the Wizard of Oz on Saturday 12 at 2.30pm. £11-£19. A Two Act full length adaptation of the ever popular Frank. L Baum novel.
Dingbats Improv present The Invocation at the Archway, Horley on Friday 11th. Join the group in the studio for a spooky improve. Show. 7.45pm for an 8pm start. £5. Bargain.
Waterstones, Redhill host local author Angela Dyson on Saturday 12th. She will be signing copies of her new book – The Love Detective from 10am. Angela is a fabulous and witty local writer. Check her out if you haven’t already done so.
Several big hitters from the book world are gearing up for the Christmas market with new releases. Hilary Mantel, Stephen King and the indominatble Lee Child to name but three. Time to start planning what to ask Father Christmas to bring on his literary sledge.
It is National Libraries week. Hooray. Libraries across our county are holding an array of events. Redhill Library is hosting a rather special story time on this Thursday 10th October. It is is FREE and aimed at pre-schoolers and parents. Get them young for a lifelong love of reading and books. Please support as if we don’t use it, we lose it. 10.30am.
