LIVE MUSIC

It is dark. It is getting colder. The summer days and evenings listening to live music in the great outdoors seem a lifetime ago. But… nothing beats a cosy indoor venue with fab musicians playing all sorts of original stuff to get you tapping your feet, moving around and getting all warm and happy. Lucky for RH that s there is an eclectic mix of live music on offer this week.

Starting off with the daddy of them all.

This is great platform for giving local unsigned original artists a chance to showcase their music. If you are a live gig nut, then what are you waiting for? An amazingly cheap evening with all the above performing.

The Cage, Reigate has Rosie Isabella on Friday 1st with her covers catalogue.  Matt Mitchell travels up from Brighton to perform his acoustic set on Saturday 2n

it is a busy week for our theatres. The Archway kicks off a 10-day run of ‘On Golden Pond’ directed by Eddie Redfern on Tuesday 29th. The play centres on Ethel and Norman Thayen who spend each summer at their home on Golden Pond. It explores their long marriage and the relationship between a father and his daughter.Recommended.

The Harlequin offers a suitably varied programme for half term week. Why don’t you try out the for one afternoon only Pop Diva show this Tuesday 29th at 4pm? if it is not quite your thing, your kids will love it. Who needs the capital jingle bell ball when you have this pop extravaganza show on your doorstep.

BOOKS

Local Bookshops and libraries are celebrating Halloween and the witching season with a variety of spooky story times. Waterstones Redhill is bravely hosting its own spooky stories on the big day itself. Thursday 31st at 10.30am. There is also a spooky treasure hunt on Monday 28th.

Pistachios in the Park, Redhill gets in on the supernatural vibe with its own spooky story time on Friday 1st. REMEMBER TO VISIT LOCAL LIBRARIES FOR GREAT HALF TERM READS.
