Books At Bedtime?

Susy Radio’s David Jay read the 2020 Reigate and Banstead Writes top three entries live on air. Plug in your headphones, tune out, grab a cuppa and embark on an auditory odyssey with our 2020 historical, spooky and time slip adventures.

Radio 4 eat your heart out. Susy Radio’s David Jay recently read our top three stories live on air over consecutive Afternoon Strolls, the show he presents on Susy, the community radio station based in Merstham.

Ella Dutton, our 3rd placed writer penned a time slip adventure set on Reigate Hill: Power of the Past.

For those who prefer a spookier tale, then our 2nd placed entrant Sophie Pither wrote a remarkable story set in the grounds of the RAA. I guarantee that The Ghost Train will leave cold shivers of dread up your spine.

And finally. Congratulations again to Orla McNally. The Reigate Pigeon’s War is a superb piece of storytelling. As you can see, Orla received her socially distant prize from Crispin Blunt MP.

David is a masterful storyteller and he brings these different stories to life in his own inimitable way. So for a Book at Bedtime with a local twist or an afternoon listen with a cuppa tea and a biscuit, click on the link below.
