Local band Helve set to support Apollo Junction on 30th May for the Fringe Opener.
The inaugural RH Fringe kicks off on Saturday 30th May. The Harlequin Theatre Redhill will host up and coming band Apollo Junction (set to support the Kaiser Chiefs, Madness and The Libertines later on this summer) for a charity gig night .
Tickets are set to go on sale from Wednesday 15th January and will be available from the Harlequin Box Office and other outlets. It is a good time to get acquainted with the sound of Helve, the talented young band (featuring St. Bede’s alumni Patrick Sawyer on bass) who are the worthy and brilliant support.
Helve are a 5 piece Indie Jazz band who are based in London (the boys met at the Brit School, Croydon). They formed a year ago through a mutual interest in experimental and jazz music. They are inspired by the likes of Radiohead and Wes Montgomery.
The band have a number of gigs coming up and recently played at the Rose and Crown in Clapham. Listen to them here https://soundcloud.com/leon-benson-1/sets/demos
The RH Fringe Festival has been made possible thanks to sponsorship from Andrews Estate Agents, Redhill and support from Reigate and Banstead Council.
